Friday Favorites: Spring Fever (March 1 edition)
Check out the newest blog posts, Peloton recommendations, favorite products, and what's making me happy this week.
It’s March 1st, we’ve had one real snowfall here in Minnesota that melted the next day, and it’s almost 60 degrees right now and hitting almost 70 on Sunday. I know this is scary stuff for the environment, but selfishly, it’s great for my mental health.
I don’t even care that I wasted money on snow tires and a snowplowing company.
This Week’s Poll
In last week’s poll, almost half of you shared that read almost exclusively on a Kindle (which reminds me that my library card from NY finally expired. I can’t live without my Libby).
For this week’s poll,
As always, I have lots to share in this newsletter. If you’re new to this newsletter, welcome. You can find all my past newsletters here in Substack and all my blog posts over at www.mypursestrings.com.
My emails often contain affiliate links. I only talk about products I use, love, & recommend. You can read my full disclosure & privacy policy here.
What’s making you happy this week?
Here’s what’s making me happy :-) in no particular order:
Productivity
I’ve been trying to get smarter, and more automated, and maybe even getting some help. What this means for you:
YouTube: I’m launching a brand-new YouTube channel with videos to accompany all my blog posts.
TikTok: I’m surprising myself by saying this but I’m kind of loving it. It’s such a peek into everyday life. Live and videos. Follow me there (I’m pretty much a newbie and I’m not “cringy”).
Check out my newest livestream from today, sponsored by Grace & Stella, a really awesome skincare company. You can watch it on replay and shop the carousel of all my beauty favorites.
See all my video reviews (clothes, beauty, and more) including a really cute spring jacket on deal, eye masks with Retinol, and workout clothes!
Digital Products: I’ve created a lot of digital products lately (I will share them with you soon). As a subscriber, you will have access to new free digital content each month.
You can now DM me right here on Substack. How cool is that? So, what kind of digital products are you most interested in? Planners? Goal sheets? Challenges? Something else? Obviously, they’ll be focused on health and wellness.
Healthy Habits
Some healthy habits this week are:
taking walks. Read my blog post how I Walked 2-Miles Every Day for 30 Days
drinking more water. Read my blog post on How to Stay Hydrated Even If You Hate Drinking Water. (And yes, I do have a Stanley cup).
Purple Carrot vegan meal delivery kit. You can read about it here.
Replacing some of my coffee consumption with Ryze mushroom coffee (Save 15% with my promo code MYPURSESTRINGS15!)
Pilates: I’m working my way through all the beginner Peloton pilates classes. I’ve only taken one reformer class and loved it but this on the mat.

PSA: if you got a new seat as part of the recall, it may be time to put it on. I never did. I jumped onto Jenn’s 80’s ride and my bike seat went crashing down. Not sure if it’s related. I’m fine but could’ve been bad.
Have a happy week ahead!
xoxo,
Michelle
